Enlarged PoresWhat are Enlarged Pores?

Pores are a normal feature of the face. They represent the openings in the skin from which oil and sweat are released. Some patients are concerned by their size and visibility. When these openings become plugged and their contents react with the air, they appear as blackheads (blackheads can be a feature of acne). Pores cannot be removed, but their appearance can be minimised through certain topical treatments and laser and light options.

Ways We Treat Enlarged Pores

  • Laser Genesis: Can help tighten and refine your pores, giving you a smoother, more refined complexion.
  • Radiofrequency Microneedling: Provides all of the benefits of traditional microneedling but with the added benefit of radiofrequency energy. RF is a novel fractional treatment designed to stimulate collagen growth and to address the signs of ageing including fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, mild skin laxity and photo damage. It is also very useful in the treatment of acne scars. It works by controlled damage to the deeper layers of the skin (dermis) through the production of heat delivered by fine needles.
  • 1927nm Laser: This laser treatment is a mildy-invasive procedure that utilises a high-energy laser to resurface and rejuvenate the skin. It targets and removes damaged skin layers, stimulating collagen production and improving the overall appearance of the skin.
  • CO2 Laser: By emitting precise beams of light, the laser removes the outermost layer of your skin, creating controlled micro-injuries in the tissue. As the treated area heals, it stimulates the production of new collagen, leading to the formation of firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.
