Sometimes this condition can be embarrassing and now removal is safe and effective with modern lasers. The use of the 532 Nanometer laser and the 595 Nanometer laser can effectively remove unwanted veins with one or two sessions. You do not need to have time off work although the face is flushed for a few hours after the procedure if many vessels are removed.

Background redness of the face is best removed with the 595 Pulse Dye laser and there are a number of options for treatment settings to remove the redness with a single treatment or a number of treatments depending whether treatment bruising needs to be avoided.

Vein removal will often last for a number of years before re-treatment is necessary. The factors that will alter this include facial flushing which needs to be minimised in order to achieve sustained results.
